ASPA's Plastic Circular Economy Design Guide
A key priority for ASPA is to develop a plastic use Design Guide fit for the Asia-Pacific region.

In North America, Europe and countries that have established recycling infrastructure, it is well known that a plastic package or item’s recyclability is determined by more than the type of plastic and whether a specific municipal program collects it. In those places industry groups have developed design guides for recycling compatibility.

In Asia-Pacific, the lack of formal recycling infrastructure adds an additional layer of complexity for packaging and product designers targeting this market - one that is not covered in the design guides for other regions.
ASPA members are filling this gap by developing an APAC Design Guide to help designers create truly recycling compatible packaging and products fit for recovery in the Asia-Pacific region.
